Item development

Items of any format (multiple choice, short answer, etc.) are authored along with their metadata and classified in each item bank's specification tables: taxonomic level, subject, competencies assessed. Every item goes through a validation process specific to the organization before final approval, and these classifications later feed detailed reports.

Questionnaire development

Contextual questionnaires follow the same logic as items: every answer given is classified in one or more specification tables to feed detailed reports. Their authoring also follows a configurable validation process, either the same as for items or a distinct one.

Test and questionnaire administration

Administrators configure each assessment session — duration, access window, specific parameters — and a unique access code is generated automatically: participants enter it and immediately reach their assessment in a secure environment. Companion questionnaires can enrich the session, or be offered to other stakeholders (teachers, principals) through their own access codes.

Multilingual management

Mezur's interface is available in French and English, with instant switching. Content — assessments, companion documents, resources — can be created in an unlimited number of languages, and respondents can even view a question in another language while keeping the one they chose for their interface.

Decentralized scoring

Constructed-response items are scored remotely by authenticated scorers. Administrators observe progress in real time, generate statistical reports and — above all — detect deviations in how scoring criteria are applied, so they can intervene quickly with the scorers concerned.

Results production

Mezur produces detailed reports exportable in several formats (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) and customized dashboards: each user composes their own mosaic of indicators — a supervisor can, for example, track scorer performance, from marks per criterion to scoring time.

Built-in psychometric analyses

In addition to offering specialized psychometric services, Mezur lets you perform several of these analyses directly within the administration platform: item statistics as soon as an administration ends, response-data analysis, detection of potential bias and of scoring deviations. Your examinations improve with every administration, without the data ever leaving the platform.

Real-time communication

A built-in chat connects every authenticated user — authors, scorers, supervisors, administrators. It also allows standardized data transfers: a scorer puzzled by an answer can send it, along with the question, to their supervisor, who helps without delay.

Brand identity reproduction

Each organization has its own entry portal that reproduces its brand identity with near-perfect fidelity: colours, logos, typography and presentation all follow its graphic standards. The portal's navigation structure can be customized as well.

Cloud infrastructure hosted in Québec

Mezur runs on a cloud infrastructure hosted in Québec: application, data, storage and automatic backups all remain there. Softinov thereby aligns with the requirements of Québec's Law 25 on the protection of personal information, and load balancing across multiple servers guarantees the system's performance.

Exam proctoring — VigiAcces

For high-stakes remote exams, Mezur extends into VigiAcces, our secure exam browser: locked-down workstation, verified identity, captures during the exam session, in-session support and an incident log. Same sessions, same access codes, same per-organization management — proctoring becomes a layer of the solution, not a separate product.
